His practice focuses on mergers and acquisitions involving public and private companies; corporate finance, including public offerings and private placements of securities; contests for corporate control; and general corporate matters. Previously, Professor Levitin was an attorney-advisor in the Office of the General Counsel, U.S. Department of the Treasury. He is the co-author of Export and Trade Finance (2d ed. 2000) and the author of "The Law of Force and the Force of Law: Grenada, The Falklands and Humanitarian Intervention" and "The Treatment of United States Financial Services Firms in Post-1992 Europe," Harvard International Law Journal, Spring 1986 and Spring 1990, respectively.
