Continue ReadingProf. Nichol is a Deputy Chief of the Disability Rights Section of the Civil Rights Division of the Department of Justice where she oversees litigation under Titles I, II and III of the ADA. She joined the Department in 1994, and served as lead counsel on some of the Department's first ADA cases. Prior to that she was a trial attorney with Chicago District Office of the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission where in 1993, she was counsel in EEOC and Charles Wessel v. AIC Security Investigations Ltd., the first case in the nation brought to jury verdict under title I of the ADA. She is a nationally known trial lawyer and lecturer on ADA issues and trial practice, tactics and strategy.
