He divides his time between the Washington and Paris Offices of the Firm and heads the Firm's worldwide International Arbitration practice group. He represents clients, including multinational corporations, international organizations, and sovereign entities, in cases brought under the rules of the International Chamber of Commerce, the American Arbitration Association, the London Court of International Arbitration, and the United Nations Commission on International Trade Law. Professor Polebaum has also served as an arbitrator in cases administered by the ICC, ICDR, AAA, WIPO, and in ad hoc cases as well. He served as law clerk to Supreme Court Justice William J. Brennan, Jr., and United States Circuit Judge James L. Oakes.
