Sanford W. Stark

B.A., cum laude, Yale University; J.D., High Honors, Duke University School of Law; Judicial Clerk, The Honorable Peter Hill Beer (E.D. La.).  Professor Stark is a Partner at Bingham McCutchen LLP, which merged with McKee Nelson in 2009. He focuses on federal tax controversy and litigation matters, including a substantial focus on transfer pricing, with significant additional transfer pricing experience in the context of planning and documenting internal restructurings.  Professor Stark previously served as a trial attorney in the Tax Division of the U.S. Department of Justice, where he litigated a broad array of tax issues in the federal courts and received the Tax Division's Outstanding Attorney Award.  He is a frequent speaker on tax controversy and litigation topics, and is an active member of the ABA Section of Taxation.
