He regularly advises universities and other tax-exempt organizations in connection with federal income tax matters. His practice also focuses on representing the sponsors of, and investors in, investment funds on a wide range of formation, tax and operation matters. In addition, Professor Winter advises real estate investment trusts (REITs) and other real estate companies on the federal income tax issues that arise in connection with their formation, investment activities, and operation. He also represents partnerships, limited liability companies, and corporations on a range of federal income tax matters.
