Professor Gastelumendi serves as Senior Policy Advisor, International Climate Policy at The Nature Conservancy. Previously, he served as environmental specialist in the Carbon Finance Unit at the World Bank from 2007-2008. From 2002-2005 he was Head of the Environmental Law Department at Grau Law Firm (Peru), and an associate at Rossello Law Firm (Peru) where he focused on mining and corporate issues. From 2004-2005, he served as Legal Advisor for carbon market issues of Peru’s National Environmental Council. Professor Gastelumendi has taught Legal Research Skills (Environmental Law Workgroup) as a professor at Pontificia Universidad Catolica del Peru, and was teaching fellow for “Organizing: People, Power and Change” and “Public Narrative” at Harvard University. He was a contributing author to the Oil, Gas & Energy Law Intelligence Service, a visiting fellow for the Center for International Sustainable Development Law, member of the Mining, Oil and Energy National Law Institute, and a member of the Lima Bar Association.
