Mara Zusman Greenberg has been an Assistant United States Attorney at the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the District of Maryland since 2009. She has investigated and prosecuted cases involving all types of federal crimes, including public corruption; health care fraud; computer hacking; bank, wire, and mail fraud; identity theft; money laundering; and drug trafficking. She has tried numerous cases in front of juries and she has argued before the Fourth Circuit.
Most recently, Professor Greenberg served a one-year detail with the U.S. Senate Committee on the Judiciary, advising Ranking Member Patrick Leahy on issues including the vacancy on the Supreme Court, common sense gun reform, community policing, cyber investigative techniques, and legislation relating to opioid addiction.
Before joining the U.S. Attorney’s Office, Professor Greenberg worked as an associate at Venable LLP and Akin Gump Strauss Hauer & Feld LLP, representing clients in criminal and civil litigation and conducting internal investigations.
Professor Greenberg graduated from Harvard Law School and received her A.B., cum laude, from Princeton University.
