Andrew Kerr is a graduate of Wesleyan and Columbia Law, and was previously a Senior Lecturer at the Peking University School of Transnational Law. His academic interests include animals, culture and the intersection of law and language. Prof. Kerr has published in the Journal of Legal Education, Duke Environmental Law & Policy Forum, University of Pennsylvania Law Review Online, Georgetown Law Journal Online, University of San Francisco Law Review Forum, California Law Review Circuit and Journal of Animal and Natural Resource Law. He has articles forthcoming on the aesthetics of citation for the Washington University Law Review and on rap music for the Columbia Journal of Race and Law.

At Georgetown Prof. Kerr is Assistant Director for the Language Center, and teaches in the two-year LL.M. program. He is also an editor of the Legal Writing Institute Monograph Series and the Asian Journal of Legal Education.
