B.A., Yale College; J.D., Yale Law School. Professor Marcus clerked for the Honorable José A. Cabranes, United States Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit, from 1994-1995. He worked as an Associate at Williams & Connolly from 1995 to 1998. He joined the Appellate Section of the Criminal Division of the United States Department of Justice in 1998, and served as an attorney there for six years before becoming an Assistant to the Solicitor General. Highlights of Professor Marcus’ career at Justice include arguing five cases in the Supreme Court.
