Continue ReadingProfessor Müller-Graff is faculty member and Managing Director of the Institute for Economic Law and European Law at the University of Heidelberg Law Faculty. He is the representative of the rector for specific tasks. He studied law at Göttingen, Berlin, Tübingen and Cornell University Law School (N.Y.), received his doctorate (Dr. iur.) and his habilitation (Dr. iur. habil.) at Tübingen University and was a professor of law at the Law Faculty of Cologne and the dean and a professor of law of Trier before being appointed in Heidelberg. Professor Müller-Graff is or was a visiting professor at Nancy (France), Cornell (USA), Zürich (Switzerland), Bordeaux (France), Bruges (College of Europe, Belgium), Cracow (Poland), Georgetown (USA), Nihon Tokyo (Japan), Natolin (Poland), Vienna (Austria), Andrássy (Budapest), Vienna (Austria), Zürich (Suisse). He is chairman of the Graduiertenkolleg of the Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft "Systemtransformation und Wirtschaftsintegration im zusammenwachsenden Europa". He was the dean of the law faculty of Heidelberg from 1999 to 2004. Since 2002 he is chairman of the Arbeitskreis Europäische Integration (the German ECSA). He holds several leading positions in academic institutions which deal with European Law. Previously, he served as law clerk at several courts and in the legal service of the Commission of the European Community in Brussels. He has also been appointed as a judge at a Court of Appeals. He is the former general secretary of the International Federation for European Law.
