C. Christopher Parlin

Professor Parlin is one of the world's leading specialists in World Trade Organization (WTO) negotiations and dispute resolution. He represents governments in WTO dispute settlement proceedings and advises governments, multinationals and trade associations on WTO and other international trade matters. He was the first private attorney to prepare and argue a Member's case before a WTO panel and the Appellate Body. For 18 years of his 35-year career in international trade, Professor Parlin served in the U.S. government in the Office of the United States Representative and the Departments of the Treasury and Commerce. Among his many positions, he was Deputy Assistant USTR for Multilateral Negotiations and Legal Advisor to the USTR Mission in Geneva, Switzerland.
