B.S. with high distinction, Pennsylvania State University; J.D. summa cum laude, Georgetown. Professor Sechler is a partner with Williams & Connolly, LLP where he previously was an associate. He focuses on complex civil litigation, and has extensive trial and arbitration experience. His principal areas of practice include commercial litigation, real-estate disputes, professional malpractice claims, and class-action defense.
Professor Sechler also has substantial experience in appellate litigation. He has appeared before the United States Courts of Appeal for the Second, Fourth, Seventh, Eighth and District of Columbia Circuits as well as the appellate courts in Maryland, the District of Columbia, and Florida.
Professor Sechler was law clerk to the late Francis D. Murnaghan, Jr., of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Fourth Circuit.
