Professor Zirkle recently retired after 26 years of service from his position as an associate general counsel with the Central Intelligence Agency. Before joining the CIA in 1985, he was an associate professor of law at the College of William & Mary. Professor Zirkle has also served as the associate dean of Yale Law School and as an associate professor of law at the University of Mississippi. He currently is also an adjunct professor at American University's Washington College of Law.
