With a background in law, politics, and sports, Henry Hunter has deep experience helping launch, grow, and fund startups and small business enterprises. He is the Founding Principal of Myers Park Projects, a consultancy that empowers entrepreneurs to scale their reach, opportunities, and impact through impactful and disruptive strategies, resources, and relationships.

Previously, Professor Hunter was General Counsel of theGROUP, a well-known and highly-effective consultancy that helped multinational companies, sovereign governments, political campaigns, and other interests navigate national politics and Washington, DC decision makers. With close ties to the Obama Administration, theGROUP specialized at finding mutually beneficial synergies between corporate, political, and social interests.

Professor Hunter was actively involved with both of President Barack Obama’s successful presidential campaigns, during which he organized teams of lawyers and law students to assist in voter protection efforts to increase turnout and voter participation.

Professor Hunter also worked for the Washington Nationals Baseball Club during the Major League franchise’s long awaited return to the nation’s capital. Serving in the Club’s legal and business affairs departments, Henry helped negotiate complex commercial agreements with sponsors, suite holders, vendors, broadcasters and licensees. He also assisted with construction, zoning, and tax issues as the club relocated from RFK Stadium to Nationals Park in partnership with the District of Columbia’s Sports and Entertainment Commission.

Professor Hunter currently serves on the board of the Greater Washington regional chapter of Boys & Girls Club of America, and is an adjunct instructor of sports law at the Georgetown University School of Continuing Studies’ Sports Industry Management master’s degree program.

A native of Tallahassee, Florida, Professor Hunter received his bachelor's degree from Emory University, where he was a member of the varsity basketball team, and his juris doctorate from the Georgetown University Law Center where he was president of the Student Bar Association. He currently lives in Washington, DC.
